Samsung Kids Expands Family-Friendly Content with Addition of iHeartRadio Family
Educational Kids Service Now Offers Music in Addition to Games, Books, Videos and Other Fun Learning Content
Mountain View, Calif and New York, New York, September 12, 2016 – Starting today, families can enjoy music via Samsung Kids, a fun, educational subscription-based service, through iHeartRadio Family, a streaming music and storytelling app. With this launch, families can now listen to top-quality, curated kids music as part of Samsung Kids' rich library of content.
Both Samsung Kids and iHeartRadio Family were designed to be fun and easy for kids to use. The iHeartRadio Family app features a colorful custom-designed user interface just for kids and a simplified listening experience created specifically with families in mind. It fits right in with the Samsung Kids kid-friendly interface and parental controls, which help parents limit screen time and keep tabs on what content their child is enjoying.
With iHeartRadio Family App, families can access a number of kid-friendly stations including iHeartRadio Top 40 Countdown, iHeartCountry Family, Radio Disney Junior, the Alli Simpson Show, Build-A-Bear Workshop Radio, Kids Club Radio, Acoustic Time Out, Sing Alongs Radio, Kids Pop Radio and Lullabies Radio.
Samsung Kids collaborates with Fingerprint, a global mobile technology company that has been leading the rapidly growing kids' mobile education and entertainment market since 2010, to offer an innovative, kid-friendly experience via the Samsung Kids service. Fingerprint and iHeartRadio Family have formed a partnership to deliver best-in-class kid's music content to family audiences across Fingerprint's mobile platform and partner distribution networks, and it will be available exclusively on Samsung Kids first.
Samsung Kids is an all-inclusive subscription content service that offers parents and children a library of expertly curated, engaging educational games and books mapped to U.S. Common Core standards with an emphasis on STEM education. New content is added monthly for a renewed experience. The service allows children to experience their favorite characters, games, and content in a parental-controlled environment where parents can identify specific subject areas for their child to focus and control the amount of time they are using the app. There are no ads, so parents may rest assured that kids are only engaging with content they trust.
The Samsung Kids app is available for download on Galaxy phones and tablets in the Google Play store and Galaxy Apps store, and is pre-loaded on select Galaxy tablets, including the Galaxy Tab E Lite that comes with a neon protective bumper designed especially for kids.
